heartBeast to Present CLOUD CUCKOO LAND at Trinity Hall, Feb 14-March 2

This February, Brisbane's acclaimed boutique theatre, heartBeast, hits the heights with the World Premiere of its vivacious new comedy, CloudCUCKOOLAND: A Karaoke Musical, a bold reaction to Aristophane's ancient Greek comedy, The Birds.

Written by Michael Beh in conjunction with the heartBeast vicious theatre ensemble, it is inspired by the real stories of local karaoke singers. CloudCUCKOOland pulses with hit songs from the forties to the naughties, from Nat King Cole, Johnny Cash and Peggy Lee to Tom Jones, Carly Simon, Stevie Nickes, Spandau Ballet, Chris Isaaks, Robbie Williams, Evanescence, Snow Patrol and 2012 Eurovision Song Contest winner, Loreen.

Revel in the stories of this precious flock of characters, ranging from one ordinary night in the karaoke to the great competition performance where in true Priscilla style, the frocks come out, the heels come on, the wigs are donned and the stage goes crazy with excitement, energy and celebration.
